Some members may have noticed that there is no press report on last Saturdays Ryde Rowing Club Annual Regatta in this weeks IW County Press. This is because the IWCP appear to have changed the deadline date for copy to be submitted. The report was sent to the IWCC on the Tuesday after the Regatta - as other reports have been - without any issues - but apparently the report had to be submitted on the Monday to ensure inclusion in this weeks addition. They were aware of the event having been sent a formal invitation and a copy of the program and they sent a photographer. The IWCP have assured me that a report will be included in next weeks addition of the IWCP - but it will have lost some of its impact by then and will probably be mixed in with the report from this weekends Racing at Itchen - which I will endeavour to submit on Monday in line with their new deadline.

The IW based on-line news services - On the Wight and the IW Daily Echo did provide a detailed report of Ryde Regatta with photos - and these are often the best place to keep up to date with Ryde's Rowing Clubs results as they publish on-line during the week and the reports are more specific about Ryde's results where as the IWCP tends to amalgamate the reports received from the three IW Rowing Clubs which some times leads to a less accurate report.
