Ryde Rowing Club Annual Subscriptions are now due - no increase on 2015*.
The Clubs Annual Subscription fell due on the 1st March – with the discounted rate available until 1st May. The AGM in November agreed to hold the rate of subscription at the same rate as 2015 and our subscriptions, on average, if paid at the reduced rate –are less than any other Island Rowing Club – and membership fees – at all levels – and mainland clubs are significantly higher. The Associate membership – at just £15 – where the only restrictions are on the use of the Clubs boats and training equipment are an ideal level of membership for parents wanting to support their sons and daughters who row.
The rates of subscription for 2016 are as follows –
Membership type Payable before 1st May, 2016/Payable after 1st May 2016.
Social Rowing £50*/£80
Country (non IW res. inc Uni) £50*/£80
Cadet Under 18 £50*/£80
Cadet Under 16 £25/ £35
*New members joining as Rowing, Social Rowing or under 18 cadets will pay an additional £5 joining fee which will give them 3 months membership of British Rowing – which includes insurance cover and copies of Rowing and Regatta magazine. Continuation of British Rowing after the three months is optional but all active members are encouraged to take out British Rowing Membership if only for the insurance cover – and it is compulsory to race on the river, or if you want to store a scull in one of the Club boathouses and boat from them.
Note: For new members, who have joined since October, 2015 the membership already paid covers the current subscription year. Your next subscription will be due, subject to approval at the 2016 AGM on 1st January, 2017.
The RRC General Committee is currently undertaking a review of the rates of subscription and Membership categories with the intention of bringing some proposed changes to the Clubs Annual General Meeting in October/November, 2016 for approval, which may include an increase in subscriptions and a proposal to bring the Club's subscription Year in line with the Calender year - with subscriptions due for renewal on the 1st January each year - starting on 1st January, 2017. If you have an opinion on this, the rates of subscription or membership categories please E Mail your thoughts to the Club Secretary, Carol Hewision on - firstname.lastname@example.org
