ACCESS TO RYDE ROWING CLUB CLUBHOUSE WHILE SOUTHERN WATER WORK CONTINUES AROUND APPLEY PARK.
Access to the Clubhouse is via a newly installed ramp. You enter the ramp near the Cafe - it splits into three - one route going to the Cafe, one to our Clubhouse and one continues up Appley Lane.

Car Parking is restricted - you can either park along the front by the Canoe Lake and walk to the Clubhouse or - at your risk - drive past the road closure sign - where you can access the five bays in Appley Lane or continue into the Car park which states it is closed but in fact is open although space is limited. Presumably you won't have to pay as it is officially "closed" see attached. You will have to drive up and down the “wrong way” – the road furthest from the Clubhouse - of Appley Lane (See attached).

Fish & Chips Suppers and talks will continue – usually on the last Thursday of the month - until November when there will be a break over the Christmas and New Year period.

Coming up is –

Thursday 30th September – Mark McNeill – Classic Boat Museum

Thursday 28th October – Phillip Norman - The Skaters’ Waltz and Babycham Night -  Phillip is also biographer of the Beatles, The Rolling Stones, Eric Clapton and a new biography of Jimi Hendrix

Thursday 25th November – Barry Groves – ‘Joe’ Carstairs – the fastest woman on water and Queen of Whale Cay.

All talks are subject to change.
