Woolston Regatta. Saturday 1st August 2026.

Wightlink sponsored Ryde Rowing Club competed at Woolston Regatta on Saturday (1st August 2026) which is hosted by Southampton Rowing Club at Weston Shore in Woolston.

The Ryde Women’s Senior Four of Eve Gordon, Stella Baisley, Alexis Owen and Demi Cranham Ede with Ruby Read coxing finished 4th in their Final.

In the Women’s Novice Fours two members of the Ryde Club - Demi Cranham Ede and Polly Townson – combined with a member of Southampton Rowing Club and a member of Coalporters Rowing Club, coxed by Ryde’s Mai Read, to form a composite crew who finished 4th in their Final

The Ryde Clubs mixed four of Isaac Gibson, Max Locke, Polly Townson and Eva Gordon with Harry Watts coxing finished 5th in their Final.

The Club had an Open Senior Pairs crew of Paddy Kearney and Charlie Watts competing who finished 4th in their final.

In the Open Novice Sculls, both the Ryde scullers made the final, Charlie Watts finishing 2nd in his heat and Isaac Gibson finishing 3rd in his heat with Charlie finishing 5th in the Final and Isaac 3rd.

Max Locke competing in the Boys J16 Sculls finished 5th in his final.

The club had two Women’s Novice Scullers competing with Alexis Owen finishing 3rd in the final and Stella Baisley in 4th.

Max Locke also competed in a Composite Novice Four with Poole and Newport and finished 5th in the Final.
